Description

If the woman has ever used pills to regulate her period because of a suspected pregnancy, REGMEDLOC indicates the location where she obtained the pills. This includes only women who used pills as the first or only method needed to regulate their period; for women who used pills after trying another method first, see REGLASTMEDLOC.

If the woman has ever had an abortion to terminate a pregnancy, this variable refers only to a suspected pregnancy after the most recent pregnancy that was aborted.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.

There are no comparability issues.

Universe

Women aged 15-49 who have ever regulated their period because of a suspected pregnancy (following their most recently aborted pregnancy, if applicable), and who tried using pills to do so.
