Description

FIRSTWILLDECIDE indicates how much the woman thinks she will be involved in the decision to have sex the first time that she has sexual intercourse. The woman was asked to choose between "very much", "not very much", or "not at all".

The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.

Comparability

There are universe differences across samples. In India surveys, this question was asked only of women aged 15-19 who have never been married. In other samples, this question was asked of women aged 15-49 who have never had sexual intercourse. See the Universe tab for more details.
