Description

SEHEARDSPOT reports whether the woman has experienced or heard about spotting as a side effect of a contraceptive method. The universe of this variable includes all women who reported having experienced or heard about any side effects of a contraceptive method: this includes current, recent, and past users of contraception as well as women who have heard about but never used contraception.

Users should be careful to distinguish this variable from FPSESPOT which indicates whether the woman has experienced spotting as a side effect of using a contraceptive method, and FPSENOWSPOT which indicates whether the woman is currently experiencing spotting as a side effect of a contraceptive method. SEFEARSPOT indicates whether the woman is concerned about spotting as a side effect of a contraceptive method.
