This is a 4-digit variable that represents a year except for the following codes:
9995 = Not interviewed (female questionnaire)
9998 = No response or missing
9999 = NIU (not in universe)
Description
ABORYRFIX reports the corrected year for the period regulation or pregnancy removal event in which the woman’s pregnancy ended in miscarriage or abortion. The variable ABORYRFLAG indicates whether the event year noted in the previous survey needed correction.

Universe
- Women aged 15-49 for whom year of abortion or period regulating event was incorrect or missing in the previous survey.
