Description

For women who have ever used a family planning method and experienced side effects, CHGNONE indicates whether the woman has experienced no changes in her menstrual period since she started using her current family planning method.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.

Comparability

Universe

  • Ethiopia 2019 PMAET Female and Household: Women aged 15-49 who are either currently using or recently used (or whose partner is currently or recently used) one of the following methods of contraception in the past two years: female or male sterilization, implants, injectables, standard cycle beads, an IUD, or birth control pills.
  • Uganda 2018 Round 6 Female and Household: Women aged 15-49 who are currently using a family planning method and have experienced side effects.
  • Uganda 2019 Female and Household (R6 Follow up): Women aged 15-49 who are either currently using or recently used (or whose partner is currently or recently used) one of the following methods of contraception in the past two years: implants, injectables, an IUD, or birth control pills.
