Description

CHGSPOT indicates whether the woman experienced spotting between periods as a change in her menstrual period since she started using her current family planning method.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.

Comparability

Apart from slight differences in question wording, there are no comparability issues. See Questionnaire tab for more information.

Universe

  • Uganda 2018 Round 6 Female and Household: Women aged 15-49 who are currently using a family planning method and have experienced side effects.
  • Uganda 2019 Female and Household (R6 Follow up): Women aged 15-49 who are either currently using or recently used (or whose partner is currently or recently used) one of the following methods of contraception in the past two years: implants, injectables, an IUD, or birth control pills.
