Description

For Round 2 samples of the female-child nutrition survey, ELIGIBLEKID reports whether the individual is a child under age 5, which makes them eligible for the child portion of the nutrition questionnaire.

Users should note that this variable is not available for Round 1 samples, which have different criteria for individual eligibility (see ELIGTYPE for details).

Users should also be careful to distinguish this variable from ELIGIBLEHHKID, which reports whether the individual lives in a household with an eligible child.
