Description

FACILITYTYPE reports the type of facility of the interviewed service delivery point.

The variable FACILITYTYPEGEN is a recode of FACILITYTYPE that reduces the coding scheme to nine general categories.

Comparability

There are inherent comparability issues due to differences among countries' distinct health care systems. Categories sharing the same first digit are largely comparable, with second and third digits retaining country-specific details.

For service delivery point questionnaires, the universe for this variable is "All service delivery points." For female client exit interview questionnaires, the universe for this variable is "Women aged 15-49."
