Description
FPINTDISIMP reports the woman's interest in using a dissolving implant to delay or avoid getting pregnant.
The woman's interest was measured on a 4 point scale. IPUMS has recoded responses outside of this range to "Logical edit - missing".
This question is included as part of the Contraceptive Acceptability Questions section, which is included in certain female questionnaires. These questions pertain to the woman's contraceptive preferences and attitudes towards new methods that are being developed.

- Burkina Faso 2016 Round 4 Female and Household: Women age 15-49 who consented to be asked Contraceptive Acceptability Questions and who would consider using a new method at some point in the future.
- Uganda 2016 Round 4 Female and Household: Women age 15-49 who consented to be asked Contraceptive Acceptability Questions; and who are currently using contraception, intend to use in the future, or would consider using a new method at some point in the future.

This method is a single rod that would be placed in a woman's arm by a health provider. It would prevent pregnancy for one and a half years.
This method would dissolve over time so it would not need to be removed, however, it could be removed by a health provider during the first year.
While using this method, a woman may have irregular periods.
This method would contain hormones, substances that change how the body functions, like in existing contraceptive methods such as the pill, the injectable, or the implant.
