Description

FPPENULTIMATE indicates whether the woman was using a family planning method to delay or avoid pregnancy right before her current or recent method.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.

Comparability

Starting in 2020, this variable was only asked of women who were currently using a family planning method, not of women who had used a method in the past 12 months but were not currently using a method. See the Universe tab for details.
