Description
FPSEPOSSUTCRAMP indicates whether the woman was told by her health provider about uterine cramping or lower abdominal pain as a possible side effect of using a contraceptive method. The woman could report being told about more than one possible side effect.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.
Universe
- Ethiopia 2019 PMAET Female and Household: Women aged 15-49 who were told by a health provider about possible side effects related to a method of contraception they are currently using or recently used (or that their partner is currently using or recently used) within the past 2 years.
- Uganda 2018 Round 6 Female and Household: Women aged 15-49 who are currently using or have used a contraceptive method excluding beads, LAM, rhythm method, and withdrawal to delay or avoid getting pregnant in the last 12 months and were told by their provider about possible side effects.
