FQINSTID
Unique ID for female questionnaire

FQINSTID is a 50-character string variable that contains a randomly generated series of numbers, letters, and characters if the observation is a female eligible to be interviewed for the female survey, and blank otherwise.

Description

FQINSTID is a constructed variable that uniquely identifies each respondent to the female questionnaire across all PMA samples.

If a woman was interviewed in multiple rounds of PMA prior to 2019, FQINSTID cannot be used to link the same woman between samples because a new value for FQINSTID is generated for each "instance" of a woman's interview.

Starting in 2019, PMA implemented a longitudinal panel design, and FQINSTID can be used to link women's records across time.
