Description

HHHEADNUM is a variable that reports the number of household heads in the dwelling. The PMA working definition of a household is a group of people who live and eat together in the same dwelling, so it is possible that more than one household lives in the same dwelling.

Respondents to the household questionnaire were asked to report the relationship of each household member to the head of the household (see RELATE). Based on the person's response to this question, the Open Data Kit (ODK) Collect software used by the PMA interviewers automatically determines the number of household heads.

The question associated with this variable was included in the household questionnaire.
