IDEALBIRTHWAIT, together with IDEALBIRTHWAITVAL, reports the how long the respondent believes a woman should wait after one birth before she has another birth.

Note that this variable reports only a specific unit of time i.e., days, weeks, months, or years, not the actual duration of the interval. The specific number of months or years is reported in IDEALBIRTHWAITVAL. Users must use both IDEALBIRTHWAIT and IDEALBIRTHWAITVAL to determine the exact amount of time reported.
