Description

INJCHARGE indicates whether the service delivery point charges for injectable contraception. Users may also be interested in DEPOCHARGE and SAYCHARGE, noting that INJCHARGE is not asked within the same surveys as DEPOCHARGE and SAYCHARGE.

The question associated with this variable was included in the service delivery point questionnaire.

Comparability

In early samples, this question was administered to service delivery points that provide any family planning services at all. In later samples, respondents were only asked how much their facility charges for those contraceptive methods that they actually provide. Hence, the proportion of "No" responses may be higher in early samples, while the proportion of facilities marked "NIU" may be higher in later samples. See universe tab for details.
