Description
MEASHEIGHT reports whether facility measures a child's height as a part of growth monitoring.
The question associated with this variable was included in the service delivery point nutrition questionnaire.
Comparability
There are slight universe differences. For 2017 samples, the question associated with this variable was asked of service delivery points designated as "nutrition facilities," as indicated in NUTFAC. For 2018 samples, the question associated with this variable was asked of service delivery points designated as "clinical facilities", as indicated in CLINICFAC.
Nutrition facilities are designated by country-specific criteria. For Burkina Faso samples, a nutrition facility may be one of any type excluding health and social promotion centers and private hospitals/polyclincs/clinics. For Kenya samples, a nutrition facility may be one of any type excluding pharmacies and nursing/maternity homes.
There are also slight differences in question wording. For 2017 samples, the question associated with this variable asks if height measurement is used for "regular" growth monitoring. For 2018 samples, the question asks whether height is a measure that staff take for growth monitoring.
