Number of female contacts who have had an abortion within past 12 months
This variable represents a 3-digit count of the woman's female contacts who have had an abortion in the past year, except for the following codes:
995 = Not interviewed (female questionnaire)
996 = Not interviewed (household questionnaire)
997 = Don't know
998 = No response or missing
999 = NIU (not in universe)
Description
NETABORYR indicates the total number of women known by the woman to have had an abortion within the past twelve months. This includes any women with whom the woman has had contact in the past twelve months.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.
Universe
- Women aged 15-49 with at least one female contact who has ever aborted a pregnancy.
