Description
PREGEND indicates whether the respondent has had a pregnancy end in miscarriage, abortion, or stillbirth within the contraceptive calendar recall period.

The reference period differs between samples, and the contraceptive calendar ranges vary among samples, as either two years or three years prior to the date of the survey. See the Questionnaire text tab for more details.
