Description

PREGENDHOW reports how a pregnancy ended for the female respondent. In India 2017, this could be any pregnancy the woman experienced that ended in miscarriage, abortion, or stillbirth. In Ethiopia 2019, this variable only considered whether the woman's most recent pregnancy ended in miscarriage or abortion.

  • Ethiopia 2020 Round 6 Female Follow-up: Women age 15-49 whose most recent pregnancy ended in miscarriage or abortion.
  • India 2017 (Rajasthan) Round 2 Female and Household: Women age 15-49 who ever had a pregnancy end in miscarriage, abortion, or stillbirth.
