Description
If the woman's second closest female friend has ever successfully done something to regulate her period because of a suspected pregnancy, and if she tried multiple methods to do so, REG1STFRND2 indicates which method she tried first. If the friend has ever had an abortion to terminate a pregnancy, this variable refers only to a suspected pregnancy after the most recent pregnancy that was aborted.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.
Universe
- Women aged 15-49 whose second closest friend has ever regulated their period because of a suspected pregnancy (following their most recently aborted pregnancy, if applicable), and who tried multiple methods to do so.
