Description
If the woman has ever successfully done something to regulate her period because of a suspected pregnancy, and if she tried multiple methods to do so, REGLAST indicates which method she tried last. If the woman has ever had an abortion to terminate a pregnancy, this variable refers only to a suspected pregnancy after the most recent pregnancy that was aborted.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.
Comparability
Response options on the questionnaires differ across samples. For example, in Nigeria 2018, the respondent could choose "Abortion pills" as a response, but in Burkina Faso 2021, she could choose between "Misoprostol" and "Misoprostol + Mifepristone", which are both considered abortion pills. See the Questionnaire Text tab for details. The universe also differs among samples. See the Universe tab for details.
