Description
If the woman's second closest friend has ever used pills to regulate her period because of a suspected pregnancy, REGMEDLOCFRND2 indicates the location where she obtained the pills. This includes only women whose second closest friend used pills as the first or only method needed to regulate their period; for women whose second closest friend used pills after trying another method first, see REGLASTMEDLOCFRND2.
If the friend has ever had an abortion to terminate a pregnancy, this variable refers only to a suspected pregnancy after the most recent pregnancy that was aborted.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.
Universe
- Women aged 15-49 whose second closest friend has ever regulated their period because of a suspected pregnancy (following their most recently aborted pregnancy, if applicable), and who tried using pills to do so.
