If the woman's second closest friend has ever done something to regulate her period because of a suspected pregnancy, REGMULTFRND2 indicates whether she sought multiple methods for doing so. If the friend has ever had an abortion to terminate a pregnancy, this variable refers only to a suspected pregnancy after the most recent pregnancy that was aborted.
