Description
For a woman whose second closest friend has ever sought surgery to regulate her period because of a suspected pregnancy, REGSURGLOCFRND2 indicates where the surgery was performed. This variable excludes women whose second closest friend sought surgery after trying other methods first; for women whose friend did so, see REGLASTSURGLOCFRND2.
If the friend has ever had an abortion to terminate a pregnancy, this variable refers only to a suspected pregnancy after the most recent pregnancy that was aborted.

Universe
- Women aged 15-49 whose second closest friend has ever regulated their period because of a suspected pregnancy (following their most recently aborted pregnancy, if applicable), and who sought surgery to do so.
