Description

For women who are not currently married or living with a man but are currently in a relationship, RELATIONSHIPTIME, together with RELATIONSHIPVAL, reports for how long the woman has been in the relationship with her current partner.

Note that this variable reports only a specific unit of time, i.e. months or years, not the actual duration of the interval. The specific number of months or years is reported in RELATIONSHIPVAL. Users must use both RELATIONSHIPTIME and RELATIONSHIPVAL to determine the exact amount of time that the woman has been in the relationship with her current partner.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire. For maternal and newborn health samples, this question was included in the female baseline survey.
