This is a 2-digit variable that represents the amount of time (in units specified by RPVISION) that the woman had difficulty seeing at night during her recent pregnancy, except for the following codes:
95 = Not interviewed (female questionnaire)
96 = Not interviewed (household questionnaire)
97 = Don't know
98 = No response or missing
99 = NIU (not in universe)
Description
For women aged 10-49 who live in a household with an infant under age 2, and who ever experienced difficulty seeing at night during their most recent pregnancy in the last 2 years, RPVISIONVAL, together with RPVISION, reports the amount of time that this difficulty persisted.
Note that the codes in this variable are not reported in a specific unit of time i.e., days, weeks, or months. Rather, the unit of time in which the woman responded is reported in RPVISION. Users must use both RPVISIONVAL and RPVISION to determine the exact amount of time the woman had difficulty seeing at night during her recent pregnancy.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female nutrition questionnaire.
