Description
SAFEDISCKID indicates to what extent the woman agrees that she feels safe or would feel safe discussing with her husband or partner about when to start having children or another child.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.
Comparability
The question wording differs among samples, sometimes referring to when to start having children or another child, and in other surveys only referring to when to start having children. Please see the Questionnaire text tab for more details.
The universe also differs among samples and changed over time. For example, in Burkina Faso 2018 survey, the question associated with this variable was asked of all women, whereas in 2020 Burkina Faso, women received different question prompts depending on whether they'd ever given birth.
