Description

SEHEARDUTCRAMP reports whether the woman has experienced or heard about uterine cramping / abdominal pain as a side effect of a contraceptive method. The universe of this variable includes all women who reported having experienced or heard about any side effects of a contraceptive method: this includes current, recent, and past users of contraception as well as women who have heard about but never used contraception.

Users should be careful to distinguish this variable from FPSEUTCRAMP which indicates whether the woman has experienced uterine cramping / abdominal pain as a side effect of using a contraceptive method, and FPSENOWUTCRAMP which indicates whether the woman is currently experiencing uterine cramping / abdominal pain as a side effect of a contraceptive method. SEFEARUTCRAMP indicates whether the woman is concerned about uterine cramping / abdominal pain as a side effect of a contraceptive method.
