Description

GEOET2021 reports the region of Ethiopia in which the respondent was located, using the categories for 2021 PMA samples onward.

Note that the Sidama region was created from Southern Nations Nationality and People Region (SNPPR) in 2020. Sidama and SNPPR are kept separate in this variable to preserve detail. In GEOET, Sidama and SNPPR are merged for comparability of analyses over time.
