Description
POPWT is population adjustment factor created by IPUMS to generate count estimates of women aged 15 to 49 for samples that are nationally representative. See our documentation for more information about how POPWT was created. POPWT can be used in analyses of all questions on the female questionnaire.
Note that POPWT is meant to be representative at the national level, and cannot reliably be used for sub-national level estimates.
For person records who were not women aged 15 to 49, the value of POPWT is zero.
