Description

HWCSTOREDWATER indicates whether stored water is observed by the enumerator in households with movable containers for hand washing rather than a fixed place to wash hands.

HWCSTOREDWATER in IPUMS-PMA is similar to the variable HANDWASHWTR in IPUMS-DHS. However, note that HANDWASHWTR does not distinguish between households with a fixed place for hand washing and households with movable containers for hand washing, while HWCSTOREDWATER does make this distinction.
