Description

For women aged 15-19 or 15-20 who have ever had sexual intercourse or are currently married or living with a partner, FIRSTFORCE indicates whether the woman was forced against her will the first time that she had sexual intercourse.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire. In samples from Phases 2 and 3, PMA likely imputed values based on the respondent's answer to this question in Phase 1.

Comparability

There are universe differences among samples pertaining to whether the question associated with this variable was asked to women aged 15-19 or 15-20 who had ever had sex, or only to women who were currently married or living with a partner. See the Universe tab for details.
