Description

LASTTW2ALIVE reports whether the woman's second-born twin was alive on the day of the survey. This variable refers to the woman's most recent birth event.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female nutrition survey.

Comparability

For 2017 samples, LASTTW2ALIVE refers to the second-born twin of a woman aged 10-49 if the twin was born during her most recent birth event, and if she lives in a household with an infant under age 2.

For 2018 samples, LASTTW2ALIVE refers to the second-born twin of a woman aged 10-49 if the twin was born during her most recent birth event in the last 5 years, and if her household was randomly selected for the female-child nutrition questionnaire.
