Description
For women who used the same family planning method prior to the facility visit as the one they received on the day of the interview, PREVMETHDUR, together with PREVMETHDURVAL reports the total duration that the woman has been using her current family planning method without stopping.
Note that this variable reports only a specific unit of time i.e., weeks or months, not the actual duration of the usage. The specific number of weeks or months is reported in PREVMETHDURVAL.
Users must use both PREVMETHDUR and PREVMETHDURVAL to determine the exact duration in which the woman has been using the method without stopping.
