Description
VISITHIV reports whether HIV care was a reason for a recent health facility visit. Respondents could report more than one reason.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female survey questionnaire.
Comparability
Question wording varies among samples, including the referenced time period for the question. Some samples refer to the past 4 weeks (longitudinal family planning samples), while some reference the time since COVID-19 restrictions began (COVID-19 phone surveys). See the Questionnaire Text tab for details.
Some samples differentiated respondents who did not want to access health care during the reference period. For other samples, women who did not want to access health care are included in "No".
There are also universe differences among samples; see the Universe tab for details.
