Gestational age when removed pregnancy (value)

This is a 2-digit variable that represents the time (in weeks or months) that she had been pregnant when she ended the pregnancy, except for the following codes:

90 = Logical edit - missing
95 = Not interviewed (female questionnaire)
96 = Not interviewed (household questionnaire)
97 = Don't know
98 = No response or missing
99 = NIU (not in universe)

Description

For women who had been pregnant for weeks or months when ending the pregnancy, ABORDURVAL, together with ABORDUR, reports how long she had been pregnant when she ended the pregnancy.

Note that the codes in this variable are not reported in a specific unit of time i.e., weeks or months. Rather, the unit of time in which the woman responded is reported in ABORDUR. Users must use both ABORDURVAL and ABORDUR to determine the exact amount of time the woman had been pregnant.
