CLOCK indicates whether the household has a clock.

The related variable WATCH indicates whether the household has a watch. WATCHCLOCK indicates whether the household has a watch or a clock.

Respondents were asked to report what assets the household owned in order to calculate a wealth index based on assets. This information can be found in the variables SCORE, WEALTHQ, and WEALTHT.

The question associated with this variable was included in the household questionnaire.

Apart from slight variation in question wording, there are no comparability issues. Most commonly, this question was worded as "Does your household have a wall clock?" while other samples ask "Does your household have a clock?"
