DISCFPTODAY indicates whether the woman's health provider discussed family planning with her today.

The question associated with this variable was included in the female client exit interview questionnaire.

Comparability

For some samples, the universe includes women aged 15-49 who received any family planning information or a family planning method and were NOT given a family planning method nor a prescription for a method during today’s visit. For other samples, the universe includes women aged 15-49 who received any family planning information or a family planning method and were given either a family planning method or a prescription for a method during today’s visit.
