DVDCD indicates whether the household has a DVD or CD player.

Respondents were asked to report what assets the household owned in order to calculate a wealth index based on assets. This information can be found in the variables SCORE, WEALTHQ, and WEALTHT.

Comparability — Index



DVDCD has slight variation in the specific entertainment media referred to. Most commonly, the survey asked whether the household had a CD and DVD player. Samples with alternative wording are discussed below.
