FLOOROTH is an 18-character string variable.
Description
FLOOROTH reports the specific "other" material of the floor of the household. The survey instructs interviewers to report the material of the floor using a predetermined list of natural, rudimentary, and finished materials (see the related variable FLOOR). In some cases, the observed floor does not fall into one of these categories and is classified as "other." This variable reports the exact string that was entered by the interviewer to describe these "other" floor materials. The main survey for the Democratic Republic of the Congo 2013 Round 1 sample was fielded in French, and the descriptions of the other floor type in FLOOROTH are also in French.
