Description
FPNOWUSCYCB indicates whether the woman is currently using cycle beads (Standard Days Method) to delay or avoid getting pregnant. The Standard Days Method/cycle beads uses "beads or a calendar to keep track of the days of the month when they are most likely to get pregnant and not having sexual intercourse on those days" (Uganda Round 2 questionnaire).
Users should be careful to distinguish this variable from FPNOWUSRHY, which refers to the rhythm method (periodic abstinence), another calendar-based contraceptive method.
The question associated with this variable was included in the female questionnaire.
