This variable is a 2-digit numeric variable that represents the age at moving except the following codes:
95 = Not interviewed (female questionnaire)
96 = Not interviewed (household questionnaire)
98 = No response or missing
99 = NIU (not in universe)
Description
RESCURMOVEAGE is an IPUMS-calculated variable to estimate the age the woman moved to her current house or structure of residence. RESCURMOVEAGE is the difference between the woman's age (AGE) and how long she has continuously living in her current house or structure of residence (LIVEINRES).
Note that this variable is a calculated field, and the values for some cases conflict with variables such as PLACE1MOVEAGE, in that RESCURMOVEAGE is sometimes younger than ages reported for moving to previous residences. If LIVEINRES is greater than AGE, instead of a negative value, RESCURMOVEAGE is recoded to zero.
