Description
PLOUGH indicates whether the household has a plough.
Respondents were asked to report what assets the household owned in order to calculate a wealth index based on assets. This information can be found in the variables SCORE, WEALTHQ, and WEALTHT.
The question associated with this variable was included in the household questionnaire.

Comparability
Apart from slight variation in question wording, PLOUGH is largely comparable across samples. Most commonly, surveys asked whether the household had a plough in general, although other samples asked about specific types of ploughs. Some samples use country-specific wording, such as the use of "charruee."

In the Round 1 and 2 surveys, the question asked whether the household had an "animal-drawn plough."
