Description
ROOFOTH reports the specific "other" material of the roof of the household. The survey instructs interviewers to report the material of the roof using a predetermined list of natural, rudimentary, and finished materials (see the related variable ROOF). In some cases, the observed roof does not fall into one of these categories and is classified as "other." This variable reports the exact string that was entered by the interviewer to describe these "other" roof materials.
The main survey for the Democratic Republic of the Congo 2013 Round 1 sample was fielded in French, and the descriptions of the other roof type in ROOFOTH are also in French.
