Description
WALLSOTH reports the specific "other" material of the walls of the household. The survey instructs interviewers to report the material of the walls using a predetermined list of natural, rudimentary, and finished materials (see the related variable WALLS). In some cases, the observed walls do not fall into one of these categories and are classified as "other."
This variable reports the exact string that was entered by the interviewer to describe these "other" wall materials. The main survey for the Democratic Republic of the Congo 2013 Round 1 sample was fielded in French, and the descriptions of the other wall type in WALLSOTH are also in French.
The question associated with this variable was included in the household questionnaire.
